Experience Exclusive Simulated Shooting at Barelands Estate
Set in the heart of the countryside, our exclusive shooting grounds provide a stunning backdrop for your day. Enjoy the serenity and beauty of nature as you place your sights on expertly designed clay targets that mimic the flight patterns of game birds, offering a realistic and challenging experience.
Nestled in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the Estate is conveniently accessible from central London, taking only 1 hour and 15 minutes by car or 55 minutes by train from Charing Cross. Over the years, Barelands has crafted a series of challenging and scenic simulated drives across its 500 acres of stunning Sussex landscape, offering guests the most authentic simulated targets during the warmer months.
Grand Feast at The Lake “by Fire”
Savour an extraordinary culinary experience featuring assorted produce from our estate, expertly cooked over Asados Grills and open fire pits by award-winning chefs.
Throughout the season, we partner with Guest Chefs to create dishes that highlight their unique styles and flavours, allowing you to enjoy a variety of culinary experiences.
Our commitment to local sourcing is a cornerstone of the Grand Feast. We meticulously gather all of our produce from local businesses and our estate, showcasing the finest offerings of our region.
Indulge in a carefully curated assortment of excellent pairings from leading wine and spirit producers in the UK, along with beer from our own brewery. Each dish has been thoughtfully matched to create the perfect combination.
First Drive - Partridge
Our simulated game day begins with Partridge. We walk to one of
the more scattered woodland areas of the estate and shoot fast targets from over a ridge amongst thick hedgerows, creating the feel of driven partridge flushes.
Upon completion of the First Drive, we serve Eleven’s.
Second Drive - Woodcock
Inhabiting the densely vegetated forests, woodcock seek out areas with an abundance of cover for both hiding and feeding. Following the completion of the first drive, we will proceed with a walk to another section of this estate to encounter a simulation of these magnificent birds.
Third Drive - Duck
Take in the beautiful sights of our signature drive by the lake. We
capture the essence of duck shooting and provide a sensory experience as targets descend from our high tree-line into the lake, on the bank of which pegs are positioned.
Our drive at the lake concludes with a grand feast for lunch, served al fresco (or moved indoors in inclement weather.)
Fourth Drive - High Pheasant
During our final drive, we traverse one of the more undulating areas of the estate. With guns well spaced and positioned at the bottom of the valley, the targets provide challenging sport as they fly above the tree-line.
The Landrover Bar
After the day’s shooting, we return to the famous Landrover Bar, where you will be greeted with a cheese board assembly, over which you can reflect on your day.
You will enjoy an assortment of locally sourced cheeses (including some made with dairy from the Estate) paired with biscuits, estate-made chutneys, and a selection of Port, ales, wines and spirits from the bar.
